Covid’s grip on Belize has been devastating in many ways. At one point, seventy five percent of our workforce was either unemployed or underemployed. Despite months of curfews and lock-downs, God burdened our hearts to reach out to villagers. He wanted us to become his source of love in the community. His spirit-led provider of encouragement. His well of provision.

A Better Belize reached out to local farmers to purchase regionally grown rice and beans in bulk quantities. Our staff and volunteers spent days repacking these staples into smaller bags - along with an encouraging note and scriptural devotion. We then loaded nearly nine hundred food bags into our vehicles and went door-to-door. It was truly a blessing to provide these much-needed supplies during such a desperate time.
